Obituary for Katherine Julie Muvdi
Peoria- Katherine Julie Muvdi, age 58, of Peoria Heights, passed away at 4:50 PM Friday, March 18, 2016 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born September 14, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a daughter to Dr. Bichara and Gladys Abdo-Muvdi. Kathy was a graduate of Richwoods High School. She enjoyed bowling, listening to music, and going to the movies. Kathy loved spending time with her parents especially on Sundays for their afternoon run to McDonald’s. She was a creative soul who loved the arts, especially painting and playing the piano. Kathy was truly cherished by all and her death leaves a significant void in her family’s heart.
Survivors include her parents, Dr. Bichara (Gladys) Muvdi of Peoria; one brother Dr. Charles (Dr. Diane) Bonaccorsi-Muvdi of Reading, Pa., and one sister Patti Muvdi-Moya of Chicago, Ill.; one niece and two nephews, Valerie, Richard, and Christopher Muvdi.
Visitation will be held on Monday March 21, 2016 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:00 am at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. Fr. Ciprian Sas and Fr. Habib Ghantous will officiate and entombment will follow in Swan Lake Mausoleum.
Memorials in Katherine’s memory may be made to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church or St. Elias Antioch Orthodox Church.
