Obituary for June L. Haslett

WASHINGTON – June L. Haslett, 81, of Washington passed away on at 2:10 a.m. Sunday, September 23, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
June was born on July 15, 1931 in Peoria to Ralph and Garnet (Martin) Lorber. She married Samuel Montgomerie Haslett III on November 24, 1971 in Oakland, CA. He passed away on February 22, 1999 in Piedmont, CA.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Lorber; two sisters, Doris McIlvaney and Nancy Bearce; and one nephew, Tony Pivoney.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, John Bearce; nieces, Diane (Lorber) Pivoney, Cindy (Lorber) Barlow, Jodi Bearce-Mello, Amy Bearce, Suzie (Bearce) Pschirrer; nephew, David McIlvaney; great-nieces, Angela (Pivoney) Gall, Holly Kettle, Haley Pschirrer, Lauren Pschirrer, Korrine Mello and Lauren Mello; great-nephews, Nathan Kettle and Nicholas Pivoney; and five great-great-nieces and nephews.
June spent the majority of her professional life as the office manager in the trucking industry in Illinois, as well as, California.
Her love of family, friends, faith, and animals were her greatest joys. She traveled several times to Lourdes, France with the terminally ill aiding them on their journey of healing and hope as a member of the Order of Malta.
Life was full of precious moments for June.
She will be missed by so many friends and loved ones, especially her pet friends.
Private funeral Mass will be held this week. Rev. Tom Hensler and Rev. Gary C. Caster will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.
