Obituaries
Judy L. Oakford, age 88, of Peoria IL, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born on November 22, 1934, in Chicago, IL the daughter of Frank A. and Ruth Little. Judy is survived by her husband, Arthur Oakford. They were united in marriage on May 27, 1954, in Peoria, IL. She is also survived by one daughter Betsy (Tom) Hamilton of Mesa AZ, two sons-in-laws Steve Anderson and Mike Champion of IL, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one brother Frank (Gail) Little of Houston, TX. Judy is reunited in heaven with her parents, her daughters, Lynne Anderson, Susan Champion, and Kitty Miller, her brother, Dennis Little, and her sister, Jane Little Milliken.
She was a devoted wife, mother and friend who cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She lived a life of gratitude by living a true and unselfish life. Judy was a pillar in the Peoria community and touched the lives of so many through her philanthropic efforts and passion for volunteering. Her legacy has and will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 4 - 7 PM at Wright and Salmon Mortuary, 2416 N North Street, Peoria, IL.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 11 AM at the St. Paul Episcopal Church, 3601 N North Street, with a one-hour visitation prior. A luncheon will immediately follow at church and burial will begin at 2:30 PM at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
