Obituary for Juanita L. Seward
Peoria- Juanita L. Seward, age 100, passed away at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Heartland Nursing Home in Peoria.
Juanita was born February 4, 1917 in Peoria, IL., a daughter of Albert and Lucille (Millinger) Wombacher. Her parents, Albert Wombacher and Lucille Thurman, preceded her in death as well as her first husband, George Volk and their daughter Roberta (Don) Traicoff, her second husband, William Seward and their son Bill, her sister, Betty Meyers Hopple, brother, Floyd Wombacher and first grandson, Daniel Traicoff.Â
Juanita is survived by her grandchildren; Susan, Jeff, Amy, Matt, Kim, Eric, Jenny, Angel, her great grandchildren, her great-great grandson, Krue Daniel Scoles, plus several nieces and nephews.Â
She retired from Logan printing company, Peoria, in the 70s and was able to live on her own through her 100th birthday assisted by her granddaughter, Susan (Bill) Morton and her close friend and neighbor, Judy Lorentz. She spoke often of her favorite memories -- all day shopping with her daughter and their family trips to Gulf Shores. Â She also loved sending and receiving emails.Â
In accordance to Juanita's wishes, there will be no public services. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
