Obituary for John A. Baker
PEORIA – John A. Baker, 55, of Peoria passed away at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2016, at his residence.
John was born on Jan. 7, 1961, in Peoria to the late Cecil and Isabella (Cassily) Baker. He married Kris Verdun on May 15, 1982. She survives.
He is survived by three children, Patrick (Meredith) Baker of Newark, Ill., Corey Baker of Peoria, and Maggie Lance of Morton; four grandchildren, Ella, Noah, Reagan, and Collin; and two sisters, Cindy (Ed) Schlicksup of North Carolina and Terry (Mike) Redd of East Peoria.
John worked as a lineman for Comcast.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a private service will be held at Resurrection Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to the National Alliance for Mental Health (NAMH).
