Obituary for Jane Morrison
Peoria~ Jane F. Morrison, 76, of Peoria, passed away at 3:38 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Christian Buehler Memorial Home.
Born August 23, 1945 in Mt. Carmel, Iowa to Albert and Dora (Fehring) Baumhover, she married James R. Morrison on August 3, 1968 in Mt. Carmel, Iowa. He survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Jennifer (John) Koskiewicz of Erie, Colorado, Julie Morrison of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jodi (Tim) Lacy of Chicago and Jill (David) Bertolatus of Alamosa, Colorado; four grandchildren, Nina, Sam, Tess and Agnes; and her siblings, Donna, Marita, Leon, Leonard, Eugene, Norbert, Harry, Vernon, Mark, and Dean.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and two sisters.
A member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Peoria, Jane cherished her time of prayer and Bible study every morning, which she referred to as “Coffee with God”. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. She played word and board games, liked to play Bridge and work in her garden. She also liked to tell “small world” stories.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at St. Mark Catholic Church in Peoria. Monsignor Brian K. Brownsey will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Additional visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the Mass at church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation or to St. Mark Catholic School.
