Obituary for James W. Moran

PEORIA-James W. Moran, 89 of Peoria, passed away at 9:08 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Bel-Wood Nursing Home. Born on September 2, 1917 in Danville, IL to William and Mary Battag Moran. He married Dorothy Wendler on March 24, 1960 in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Bonnie (Chuck) Gavin of Peoria and Patricia Manning of Taylors, South Carolina; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Moran and Gary Gramm; one son-in-law, Larry Manning; and one sister, Helen Allnutt. He was owner and operator of Jim Moran Aluma-Man. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. A Memorial Service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Resurrection Mausoleum with Deacon David Reising officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the mausoleum. Cremation rites accorded. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Inurnment in the mausoleum will follow the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bel-Wood Nursing Home or OSF Hospice. Tributes and condolences may be submitted to
