PEORIA ~ James M. Hall, 74, of Peoria, passed away at 5:15 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022 at his residence in Peoria.
He was born August 13, 1948 in Farmington, IL to William and Zelma (Morse) Hall. He married Valerie L. Snider on June 1, 1968 at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Farmington, IL. They celebrated 54 years of marriage this past June. She survives.
Also surviving are his three children, Angie (Steve) Houlihan of Brimfield, IL; Courtney (Wayne) Green of Cumming, GA; and Rachel (Reid) Henrichs of Harrogate, TN. Additionally, he is survived by six grandchildren; Michael, Jimmy, and Jack Houihan; and Ann Marie, Trey, and William Green. His first great-grandchild is expected in January.
Also surviving is his sister Jeanette (Roger) Doubet of Peoria, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Zelma Hall.
He retired from Caterpillar after 40 years as the NACD District Manager. He was a member of the Hanna City Sportsman’s Club, The American Legion, and The Farmington Moose Club. He enjoyed relaxing at the Lake in Oak Run or at the beach in Florida while surrounded by family and close friends. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Bradley Basketball.
His visitation will begin at 9:30am at St Joseph Catholic Church in Brimfield, with his funeral Mass following at 11:00am, Thursday, November 17, 2022. Father John Verrier will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Parkinson Disease Association.
