Obituary for Jack Cahill
PEORIA ~ Jack E. Cahill, 74, of Dunlap, passed away at 1:16 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at his residence.
Born December 6, 1947 in Peoria to Roger and Lillian (Vervynck) Cahill, he married Pamela S. “Pam” Selburg on February 24, 1990. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Christopher (Amanda) Cahill of Glasford and Adam Cahill of Mossville and two grandchildren, Braxton and Payton Cahill.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jack was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War, and had the privilege of going on the Greater Peoria Honor Flight.
He was a car salesman for over 40 years, last working for Velde Ford in Pekin and retiring in 2013. He had many lifelong friends that he met throughout his career.
He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing.
Per Jack’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of Jack’s life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Greater Peoria Honor Flight or to PAWS.
