Obituary for Jack Aisquith

PEORIA-Melvin Jack Aisquith, 68, of Peoria, passed away at 2:07 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Greater Peoria Specialty Hospital. He was born on January 14, 1943, in Washington, D.C. to Maurice Z. and Elsie White Aisquith. He Married Yvonne Westhoff on November 1, 1975, in Peoria. She survives. Jack is also survived by two daughters, Marie “Ree Ree” Jarvis of Wheeling, WV and Melissa (Joseph) Greenwell of Damron, MD; two sons, Wesley Westhoff and Maurice Aisquith both of Peoria; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Billy Aisquith of Prince Georges, MD; and his first wife, Bunny Aisquith of Wheeling, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Jack was an asbestos worker for Local #24 in Washington, D.C. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and Cursillo. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2011, at St. Ann Church with Rev. Terry Cassidy officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary with a Prayer Service at 4:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be 30 minutes before the Mass at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate. Tributes and condolences may be submitted to www.wrightandsalmon.com
