Obituary for Glenn R. Everetts

PEORIA – Glenn R. Everetts, 75, of St. Joseph’s Home in Lacon, formerly of Peoria, passed away at 7:54 a.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Glenn was born on December 25, 1937 in Peoria to Glenn V. and Sarah A. (Gray) Everetts. He married Jeannine E. Clauson in Lacon. She preceded him in death on March 27, 2011 in Peoria. He is survived by one son, Rodney Everetts of Concord, CA; one daughter, Nanette (Brett) Hagedorn of Indainapolis, IN; three step-children, Bob Burns, of Peoria, Tim (Heidi) Burns of Bel Air, MD, and Chris Burns of Peoria; six grandchildren three sisters, Mary Ann (Richard) Heintzman of Xenia, OH, and Patricia Maggi and S. Jeanne Farrell, both of Peoria; an several nieces and nephews. Glenn served in the Navy during the Korean War. He later worked as a newspaper agent for the Baltimore Sun. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He volunteered at Senior World and the Food Pantry at St. Peter Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Father Martin Mwongyera will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Tributes and condolences may be submitted to www.wrightandsalmon.com.
