Obituary for Glen E. Ludolph

PEORIA-Glen E. Ludolph, 46, of Houston, TX and formerly of Peoria, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010, after a tragic motorcycle accident in Harris County, TX. He was born April 22, 1964, in Peoria, IL, to Robert J. Sr. and Shirley M. Young Ludolph. Glen is lovingly survived by his mother, Shirley Ludolph of Peoria; five brothers, Thomas (Julie) Ludolph of Peoria, David Ludolph of Cape Girardeau, MO, Robert Ludolph Jr. of Manuel, TX, Roger (Haley) Ludolph of East Peoria, Joshua (Melanie) Ludolph of Rolling Meadows, IL; four sisters, Rose Ludolph of Morton, Mary (Ted) Fragel of Peoria Heights, IL, Margaret (Mark) Herman of Brimfield, and Theresa (Donnie) Driscoll of West Peoria. Glen was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ludolph, Sr. and his brother, Dale Ludolph. He was raised in Peoria, IL and attended St. John’s Catholic School and Manual High School. When he graduated from high school, he moved to Texas. Glen was a owner and operator contracted to haul for East End Transfer and Storage of Houston, Texas for more than 25 years. Glen enjoyed his Harley “Lady Blue”, NASCAR, hunting, fishing and being the life of the party. He was of the Christian Faith. He didn’t have children of his own, but he loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own and offered his encouragement as he could. He was a great friend to many and will be missed by all. He was a man of great honor and wit. If you walked into a room sad he wouldn’t let you leave without a laugh or a smile. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brimfield with Rev. Terry Cassidy officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Brimfield. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
