Obituary for Genevieve "Doll" McGee

Genevieve L. “Doll” McGee, 99, of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Lacon Rehab and Nursing Center in Lacon, IL.


Doll was born on January 6, 1923 in Woodstock, IL, a daughter of John and Zita (Kennedy) McGee. She is survived by one niece, Patricia (Richard) Kawczynski of Peoria, one nephew, Charles (Diane) McGee of South Carolina, three great-nephews, Robert S., Robert “Robby,” and Jordan Kawczynski. She was preceded by two brothers, Charles and Robert McGee and great-nephew, Matthew Kawczynski.


Genevieve worked as an executive secretary in the Chicago area for many years.


A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 21, 2022, with a one hour prior visitation at Holy Family Catholic Church. Fr. Gregory Jozefiak will officiate. Burial will be at 2:30 PM on Friday at Calvary Cemetery in Woodstock, IL.


Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or School.
