Francis P. “Frank” Curtis, 84, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Heritage Healthcare in Chillicothe, IL.
Frank was born on November 10, 1938 in Rochester, NY, a son of Forrest and Ruth (Lamb) Curtis. He married Joyce Rogers in 1959, she preceded him in death in 2005. He later met Margaret “Jean” Kieser, and they spent 17 years together.
Frank proudly served in the US Army Reserves. He graduated from Gemology School. He loved tinkering on cars. Frank was a member of the Kiwanis Club and served as the President. He was a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Frank owned and operated Prospect Super Variety and then later, Noah’s Ark Cruise and Travel.
Survivors include his companion Jean, one son, Michael (Judith) Curtis, of Branson, MO, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister, Barbara (Bob) Vogel of Santa Paula, CA.
He was preceded in death by wife, Joyce and daughter, Pamela.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Wright & Salmon Mortuary from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 PM on Friday, September 22, 2023 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, with a half hour prior visitation. Msgr. Jason Gray will officiate. Cremation Rites will be accorded after services.
