Obituary for Elizabeth A. Hoff

Peoria- Elizabeth A. Hoff 82, of Peoria passed away at 11:25 p.m. on May 19th peacefully at home surrounded by her family on her 62nd wedding anniversary after a brief battle with cancer. She faced her final days just as she lived her life with dignity and courage. Born July 30, 1924 in Peoria to Joseph and Violet Flood Brill. She married Robert L. Hoff on May 19, 1945 in Peoria. He survives. She also left behind Four daughters; Lynn Allenspach of Peoria, Lisa (Rick) Funcannon of Lacon, Mary (Rick) McMorrow of East Peoria, and Chris (Steve) Hardine of East Peoria. One sister Madeline Sherer of Peoria, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She worked for the Government during World War II then left to raise her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to play cards with her grandchildren. She was a proud member of Proctor Hospital Cardiac Rehab Exercise Group for over 25 years. She also was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and it’s Perpetual Adoration and Mary Martha Society. Her zest for life will be greatly remembered by those who knew and loved her. A Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Franciscan Friars officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wright & Salmon Mortuary with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Further visitation will be 30 minutes before services at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Peoria. Memorials to Proctor Hospital Cardiac Rehab Group; OSF Hospice; or Holy Family Church.
