Obituary for Earl Schoenheider

BRIMFIELD-Earl Schoenheider, 78 of Brimfield, passed away at 9:22 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at his residence. Born on January 1, 1929 in Peoria to Howard and Kathryn Platte Schoenheider. He married Darlene Meyers on March 24, 1950 in Eureka. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Danny (Cindy) Schoenheider of Toulon, IL and Mickey (Gayle) Schoenheider of Groveland; two daughters, Kathleen (Carl) Trine of Marquette Heights and Patricia (Randy) Stone of Glasford; ten grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. He retired in 1990 after 50 years as a Brick Mason, last working for Clifford Kaufman & Sons in Morton and Kickapoo Masonry. He was a Korean War Army veteran serving from 1951-1953. He was a member of the Elks in Peoria, VFW and Moose Lodge in Florida and the American Legion in Brimfield. He spent the winter months in Sebring, FL. and he and his wife enjoyed traveling in their R.V. together. He also loved to hunt and carve decoys and bird watching. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 26, 2007 at Wright & Salmon Mortuary with Chaplain Ronald E. Little officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at the mortuary and 30 minutes before the services. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Light Hospice.
