Obituary for Dorothy V. Sauer
Peoria- Dorothy V. Sauer, age 93, passed away at 6:30 PM, Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Proctor Place in Peoria, IL.
Dorothy was born February 1, 1924 in Peoria, a daughter of Joseph P. and Estelle I. (Rebstock) Sauer.
Dorothy was a lifelong Peoria resident and worked at Caterpillar in the payroll department. She was a former member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Dorothy is survived by two nieces; Rita Clark and Teresa Rutherford, both of Peoria, three nephews; Paul Sauer of Morton, John Sauer of Peoria, and Joseph Sauer of Sun City West, AZ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Church, with a one hour prior visitation. Fr. Donald Roszkowski will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria.
Memorials in Dorothy’s name, may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Ann Catholic Church.
