Obituary for Dolores Hessling
Dolores Hessling passed away on April 30th at Grand View Alzheimer's Care facility in Peoria.
Dolores spent her life in service to others. After high school at the Academy of Our Lady,
she entered the convent with the Sinsinawa Dominicans. She taught Catholic grade school
kids for 20 years. After leaving the convent she was a Remedial Reading teacher for the
Catholic schools and the public schools in and around Calumet City, Illinois, during which
time she earned a Masters Degree in Education. After retirement, Dolores moved back to the Peoria area to be near her family.
She is survived by her brothers Charles and David, and her sister Rita Turman.Â
