Obituary for Clara P. Palmieri
Peoria- Clara P. Palmieri, 85, passed away at 3.45 AM Friday, March 17, 2017 at Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL.
Born October 6, 1931 in Peoria, IL., a daughter of Edward D. and Rose Palanza. She married Robert Palmieri on October 31st, 1959. He survives, in Peoria, IL. She is also survived by her two sons; Mario of Pekin, IL and Gerard of Leawood, KS, her daughter; Rosanna of Peoria,, IL, her sister; Philomena Palanza of Peoria, IL, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Her parents preceded her in death.
In her spare time, she loved cooking, spending time with family, and was a devout catholic being a parishioner of St. Marks Parish for 50 years. She was a home maker and worked 12 years at Bergner’s. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 between the hours of 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at St. Mark catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM with an additional visitation 30 minutes prior to mass. Msgr. Brian Brownsey will officiate and burial will follow in Resurrection Mausoleum.
Memorials, in Clara’s name, may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Mark Catholic Church.
