Obituary for Cindy R. Gunther
Peoria- Cindy R. Gunther, 59, of Peoria passed away on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
Born Nov. 17, 1958 in Peoria to Kenneth and Eunice (Sommers) Herod. Cindy married Brad Gunther on May 12, 1990. He survives. Cindy was loved and will be missed by many, especially her husband, Brad.
Cindy was an avid horse and dog (Shelties) lover, and loved spending time with her many friends, family, her many great-nieces and nephews, and her beloved Sheltie, named Blue. Cindy worked for the Peoria Human Service Center starting May of 1989 till present and will be greatly missed by all her friends at the Human Service Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Eunice Herod; Father- in-Law, Dutch Gunther, and Mother-in-Law, Arlene Gunther.
Surviving are her husband Brad Gunther, two sisters, Pamela (Dale) Christianson and Theresa (Mike) VandeBerg, and one brother, Keith Herod, three nephews Dale (Pam) Christianson, Kenny Christianson, Joey Herod and one niece Kayla (Joe) Kummer.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Forrest Hill United Methodist Church, 706 E. Forrest Hill Ave. with Rev. Cecilia Granadosin presiding over the ceremony. Visitation will be held one hour prior to memorial service. Burial of ashes will be held on a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Central Illinois Sheltie Rescues.
