Obituary for Christopher J. Simkins
Christopher J. Simkins, age 51, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 in Peoria, IL.
Chris was born on July 1, 1971 in Peoria, a son of Deborah “Debby” (Robert Daugherty) Guinnee-SImkins of Peoria and Michael (Linda) Simkins of East Peoria. They survive. He married Brandy Breaux-Simkins, of Chicago, in New Orleans in 2002. She survives. He is also survived by two step-brothers, Troy Johnson and Chad Daugherty and one step-sister, Stacy Potter, his loving grandmother, Mary Daxenbichler of Peoria, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Peoria area, who loved him dearly.
Chris graduated from Spalding Institute in Peoria. He worked creative events in Chicago, IL and he lived life for music, the arts, friends and family.
Memorial service will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with a one hour prior visitation also at the mortuary. Fr. David Heinz will officiate. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
