Obituary for Christina Marie Duke
Christina Marie Duke, 55 of Bartonville IL, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
Christina “Tina” was born on August 30, 1967, in Peoria, IL, daughter of Marilyn A. Sullivan and George W. Sullivan. She married Andrew B. Duke on November 7, 2009 at St Ann’s Catholic Church, Peoria IL.
She is survived by her husband Andrew B. Duke, her father George W Sullivan, her siblings Jeanette (David) Bradshaw, Carolyn (Marc) Bozarth, Debra (John) Willard, Brian (Julia) Sullivan and Georgiann (Greg) Weydert, her in laws Jack and Susan Duke, her sister in laws Jennifer (Shawn) MacRitchie and Sara Duke, and several of her nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Christina was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn A. Sullivan and her great niece, Grace A. Bozarth.
Christina graduated from Richwoods High School in 1985 and graduated magna cum laude from Gallaudet University in 1990. She loved her family and friends very much. She was so excited to travel to Hawaii with Andy. She was a member of the Deaf community. She worked at the Post Office where she met her husband Andy. She loved reading books, working puzzles, watching movies and playing games. She really loved rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bartonville IL. Visitation will be from 9:30 am - 10:30 am prior to mass at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Christina’s name to a charity of your choice.
