Obituary for Cathleen E Ludolph
Glasford- Cathleen “Cathy” Erin Ludolph 65, passed away December 21, 2022 at The Richard Owens Hospice Home.
Born May 13, 1957 in Peoria to Floyd and Charlotte (Lonsdale) Nolan. Her Parents preceded her in death.
She married her high school sweetheart, Harold Ludolph at St. Mark’ s Church in Peoria, He survives.
Also surviving are two children; Jessica (Ben) Westerman of Glasford and Brandon Ludolph of Avon, CO. Six grandchildren; Jakob (Aubrey) Varnes of Glasford, Samson Varnes of Davenport, FL., Amelia, Calvin, Justin Westerman all of Glasford and Izzy Westerman of Pekin.
Four siblings; Gerry (Betsy) Nolan of Silver Hill, AL., Lorrie Blasingim of Glasford, Brad (Mary) Nolan of Pekin and Paula Lutrell of Glasford.
Cathy worked at the University of Illinois Extension office as 4H Program Coordinator for 26 years, retiring in 2021. She loved her job and working with youth, especially her 4H federation kids. She touched countless kids and families’ lives with her dedication to the Peoria County 4H Program.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who proclaim her the perfect grandma.
Cathy enjoyed crafts and sewing, her flower gardens, and baking, especially desserts.
She was a blackbelt in Shotokan Karate. She loved music and had been a drummer in a local band called the “Whiskey Wranglers” and enjoyed giving drum lessons to kids. Cathy was a true leader, always leading from within and by example.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 30, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church in Kickapoo. Msgr. Brian Brownsey will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Wright & Salmon Mortuary in Peoria and 30 minutes prior to mass on Friday. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Kickapoo.
In lieu of flowers, donations are to the Peoria County 4H Auction Committee at the Peoria County University of Illinois Extension; Attention Robin Forney.
