Obituary for Caryl L. Hanley

KICKAPOO-Caryl L. Hanley, 67 of Kickapoo, passed away at 12:08 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Born on May 20, 1939 in Princeville, IL to Michael C. and Zelma G. Bouton Noonen. She married John J. Hanley on January 14, 1961 in Kickapoo. He survives. Also surviving are four sons, Daniel J. Hanley of Des Moines, Iowa, Dean A. Hanley of Peoria, Don M. Hanley of Brimfield and David E. Hanley of Mesa, AZ; one daughter, Dawn E. (Aaron) Berg of Hennepin, IL; three grandchildren, Marcus A. Hanley, which whom she raised, Anna Berg and Kylie Berg; and three sisters, Marilyn (Don) Dell of Princeville, Joan (Richard) Schmitt and Nancy (Richard) Schaub both of Kickapoo. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Caryl worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for many years until her retirement in 1999. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kickapoo where a Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday with Rev. David Heinz officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at St. Mary’s Parish Hall in Kickapoo with a Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be one hour before the mass at the church. Wright & Salmon Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Kickapoo. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or St. Mary’s Parish.
