Obituary for Carol R. Caughey
TRIVOLI - Carol R. Caughey, 70, of Trivoli passed away at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, at UnityPoint Health Methodist.
Carol was born on Dec. 29, 1944, in Peoria to the late Ernest and Agnes (Janovetz) Marliere. She married Patrick Caughey on Sept. 12, 1992, in Trivoli. He survives.
She is also survived by three children, Lisa (fianc, Jeff Rose) White of Peoria, Leah (Konrad) Garrett of Pekin, Dale (fiance, Jennifer Bender) Clarkson of Metamora; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Larry (Diane) Marliere.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Carol worked for many banks in various positions for over 30 years. She also worked a teachers assistant for the Hanna City and Farmington School districts, working with special needs children.
She loved singing karaoke and was an avid Bears fan. She also enjoyed nature and fishing; but she most loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2015, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Fr. Dustin Schultz will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Wright Salmon Mortuary. An additional visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Graveside services and burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens on Saturday July 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
