They were blessed with four children Dr. Rob Carman of Williamsburg, VA, Ryan (Kaitlyn) Carman of Peoria, Amberose and Andria Carman of Kickapoo. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He graduated from Spalding High School in 1982 and St. Ambrose College in 1986. Bill was a devoted family man and an avid outdoorsman who cherished spending time in the woods with his dad and his children. Bill was the ultimate volunteer, serving on many committees throughout his children’s school years. He continued to serve as parish trustee, on the finance committee and the cemetery committee. He was a proud Knight of Columbus his entire adulthood. He was a dedicated Red Cross Blood donor. He also served on the Kickapoo Township board of trustees. He was known to have the appropriate coupon available at all times. Bill liked to brag that he was one of 43 first cousins. In the presence of his friends, his boisterous voice earned him the nickname of “DeciBill.”

His funeral mass will be at 10:30am Thursday, October 28th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kickapoo. Father James Pankiewicz will officiate with Father Joseph Dondanville as co-celebrant. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Wednesday, October 27th at St. Mary’s School Gymnasium in Kickapoo. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at the church. Private burial will follow at St. Patrick’s in Kickapoo.

Bill’s priority goal was to guide his children through their continued educational endeavors. Bill dreamed of seeing and supporting his children through their adoption and infertility journey. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bill Carman Memorial Fund.
