Obituary for Beverly A. Seabeck

WEST PEORIA – Beverly “Bev” A. Seabeck, 63, of West Peoria, died at 8:35 p.m. on September 1, 2013, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. Beverly was born on June 11, 1950, in Peoria, the daughter of John and Eileen (Gilkison) Seabeck. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Allen. She is survived by her brother, James (Marilyn) of Milwaukee, WI; nieces, Tiffany (Gene) Clark of Peoria, Jill (Don) Starling of Jacksonville, FL, Mary Boney of Lombard, IL; and nephews, John Allen of Chicago and Eric Allen of California. She is also survived by two great-nieces, Danielle and Sandra Allen both of Lombard, IL. Bev was a 1968 graduate of Academy of Our Lady, and a 1970 graduate from High Fashion School of Cosmetology. She began her career as a hairdresser at Beetler’s Beauty Salon, and later worked for Charm Beauty Salon. In 2000, Bev changed careers and began working in dialysis for Midwest Kidney Centers. She last worked in dialysis for Fresenius Medical Care in 2010. She was active in TEC and Cursillo for many years and touched the lives of many through her Christian faith. She will truly be missed and never forgotten by all the people she touched. A special and sincere thank you goes to her very dearest friends and caregivers, Kathy and Toni. The family would also like to thank all of her good friends, especially Jeanette, Bruce, Katie, Jill, Deb, Keith, Colleen, Bill, Lynn, Jane, Dianna, Linda B., Nancy, Elizabeth, Christy, Sister Paula Vasquez, and all of the Sisters from the Heading Avenue Franciscans. The friends and family of Bev would like to send a very special thank you to Dr. Olsson and the entire staff at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. Your kindness and compassion to Bev, Her friends, and her family will not be forgotten. God bless all of you. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2013, at St. Ann Catholic Church. Rev. Terry Cassidy will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2013, also at the church with a scripture service preceding at 3:45 p.m. An additional visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following the Mass. Private entombment of cremains will be in Resurrection Mausoleum at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church, Heading Avenue Franciscans Retirement Fund, or the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
