Obituary for Bette Brammeier
PEORIA – Bette L. Brammeier, 87, of Peoria passed away at 3:35 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at Lutheran Hillside Village.
Bette was born on Dec. 30, 1928, in Bluffs, Ill., to the late Frederick F. and Winnie (Williams) Tuscher. She married Robert H. Brammeier on Feb. 21, 1950, in Jacksonville, Ill. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1980, in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, George and Fred; and two sisters, Patricia Hartman and Barbara Farris.
She is survived by one daughter, Lee Ann (Kenneth Shaffer) Brammeier of Lewiston, Ill.; one son, Robert Lewis Brammeier of Peoria; one sister, Roberta “Posie” (Albert) Roth of Carrollton, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Bette worked as a registered nurse at Methodist Medical Center for 55 years.
She was a member of Our Savior’s Alumni and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Pastor Pat Monroe will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. A graveside service will be at 12 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016, at St. Francis Cemetery in Jerseyville, Ill.
