Obituary for Bernadine Bucklar Hadank

Peoria- Bernadine M. Bucklar Hadank, 94, of Peoria, died at 11:55 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Christian Buehler Home. Born November 24, 1916 in Peoria to Charles J. and Kathryn Moran Bucklar, she married Frederick J. Hadank Sr. on September 14, 1938 in Peoria. He passed away September 6, 1988 in Peoria. One brother and one sister also preceded her in death. Surviving are one son, Frederick J. (Sandra) Hadank Jr. of Peoria, three daughters, Judith Johnson of Williams Bay, Wisc., Jane (David) Link of Lafayette, Ind., and Jeanann (Robert) McCoy of Lake Oswego, Ore. Nineteen grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren also survive. Bernadine first worked for Caterpillar Tractor, then worked as a Comp. Operator for Buehler Home for twenty years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church, it’s Women’s Club, Catholic Women’s League, Catholic Social Service, and the Apostolic Catholic Women’s Club of Mt. Alverno. A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, 10 a.m. at her church, with Fr. David Richardson officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with further visitation a half hour prior to the mass on Tuesday. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or the St. Philomena Building Endowment Fund. Tributes and condolences may be submitted to
