Obituary for Barbara M. Grawey
Peoria-- Barbara M. Grawey, 92, of 2724 W Reservoir Blvd, died at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, September 9, 2018, at her residence.
   Born January 27, 1926, to Lucy Fay Stiers and Kenneth Marmom, she married Dr. Gerald (Jerry) W. Grawey on February 27, 1954. He survives.
   Also surviving are 2 sisters, Peggy Kleman, of California, and Mary Mayer, of Guam, along with several nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Thomas Doran, of Vandalia, IL and Richard Doran, of Joliet, IL.Â
   In her earlier years, she worked as a nurse at Jackson Memorial Hospital, in Miami, FL, where she met her future husband, Jerry. She also enjoyed travel, golf and tennis.
   She and Jerry were long-time members of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Peoria, before moving to Proctor Place. They were also life-long members of the Country Club of Peoria.
   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Peoria, IL. Visitation will take place during the hour prior to the funeral mass, also at the church. Msgr. Jason Gray will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum, following the funeral mass.
