Obituary for Avery Joanna Schwindenhammer
PEORIA – Avery Joanna Schwindenhammer, 6 months, of Peoria passed away at 11:02 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center NICU.
Avery was born on Sept. 26, 2015, in Peoria to Andrew Lymberopoulos and Ashley Schwindenhammer.
She is survived by her mother, Ashley Schwindenhammer of Peoria; father, Andrew Lymberopoulos of Princeton; grandparents Jim and Karen Schwindenhammer of Peoria and Michelle Lymberopoulos of Princeton; great-grandparents, Joe and Freddie Waugh of Peoria; eight uncles; and five aunts.
Little Avery was surrounded by family and friends outside on the rooftop garden at the Children’s Hospital. The garden was peaceful and beautiful, just like Avery. She was a fighter and loved by many.
A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday April 20, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church of Peoria. Franciscan Friars will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the Mass at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following the Mass.
Memorials may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois Neonatal ICU.
