Obituary for Antoinette B. Moses

PEORIA- Antoinette B. Moses, 70, of Peoria, went to be with the Lord at 10:05 AM, Monday, November 28, 2011 at her residence surrounded by family and friends as they were praying the Rosary. She was born in Itoo, Lebanon on January 17, 1941 a daughter of Badwi and Akleh Slymen Sous. On September 9, 1961 she married Gerald A. Moses at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Peoria. He survives. Other family surviving are her daughter, Louise (Craig) Warren of Peoria; two sons, Mark (Lisa) Moses of Peoria and Jeff (Karen) Moses of Washington, IL; four grandchildren- Victoria, Emily, and Margaret Moses, and Alexandra Warren; two brothers, Joseph (Judy) Sous of Tallahassee, FL and Lahoud (Souad) Sous of Peoria; three sisters, Martha Maroon, Julia (Steve) Elias, and Marie Simpson all of Peoria; many beloved nieces and nephews. Antoinette was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jamileh Younes. She was a childcare provider in her home and volunteered at St. Mary’s Cathedral Soup Kitchen. She was a member of St. Sharbel Church and it’s Ladies Society, the Itoo Society, Cursillo, St. Sharbel Watch Team, St. Mary’s Apostolate. Antoinette was active in the Respect for Life and Pro-Life Movement in Peoria and several prayer groups at different churches in the area, being very active with a prayer group at the OSF Motherhouse in East Peoria, IL. She was a giver of unconditional love to everyone. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 2, 2011 at St. Sharbel Church. Fr. Bechara Awada will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, December 1, at St. Sharbel Church with recitation of the Rosary at 7:45 PM. Additional visitation is one hour prior to the Mass . Arrangements are through Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Cathedral Soup Kitchen or St. Sarkis and St. Bakhos Churches in Itoo, Lebanon. Tributes and condolences may be submitted to
