Obituary for Allison L. Ridgely
Allison L. “Alli” Ridgely, 31, of Normal, IL, passed away at The Bloomington Rehabilitation and Health Center on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
Alli was born on May 23, 1991 in Peoria, Il, a daughter of Terry L. Ridgely of Peoria and Janet E. (Joyner) Van Antwerp of Washington, IL. They survive along with her husband, George Thomas of Normal and one sister, Kayla Ridgely of Peoria. Alli and George were married on December 8, 2011 in Ottawa, Ontario.
Alli was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Kathy Ridgely and James and Betty Joyner all of Peoria.
Alli was diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia at the age of 9. In spite of her diagnosis, Alli enjoyed many things. She loved babies and anything to do with babies and animals, especially dogs. She had great empathy and compassion for other kids with disabilities, especially those who were unable to communicate their needs.
A private family service will be at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
