Obituary for Agnes "Terry" Gustafson
Agnes R. “Terry” Gustafson, 97, of Moline, formerly of Peoria, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 9:40 am at River Crossing Nursing Home in Moline.
Terry was born on May 7, 1925 in Sabillasville, MD to Julius and Agatha Ratas. She married Roger Gustafson on November 23, 1947 in Baltimore.
He passed away August 9, 1996 in Peoria. One brother and three sisters also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Gustafson of Rockford, Kim (Dan) Whitaker of Moline;
Three sisters; four grandchildren, Jeff (Megan) Whitaker, Emily Whitaker, Mark (Kristy) Whitaker, and Chris Gustafson-Nolan; and three great grandchildren, Nathan, Julianna, and Jack Whitaker.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph College in Emmitsburg, MD.
Terry worked as an administrative assistant for Caterpillar Tractor Company. She later worked as a librarian at the Peoria Public Library.
She had a passion for traveling the world, and her faith guided her through life. She was a self professed “chocoholic”.
Terry was a former member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.
Private family services will be held on Saturday at Resurrection Mausoleum, with entombment following. Fr. Stephen Willard will officiate.
