PEORIA – Mary Brauer Connelly, 81, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at OSF ST. Francis. She was born February 15, 1931 in East Peoria to Albert Pauli and Ida Mae (Danz) Pauli. She married Charles Brauer on June 8, 1952 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. He passed away. She later married David C. Connelly on April 17, 1993 also at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. He survives.

Also surviving are her children Paula (Jerry) Horst of Edelstein; Catherine (Ward) Lenz of Waterloo, IL; John Brauer of Rushville; step-son Douglas Connelly; two brothers Richard Pauli of Dunlap and Harold (Carolyn) Pauli of Edwards; one sister Anna (Russ) Jacobsen of Beecher; sister-in-law Joan Brauer Ross of Peoria; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Jeanne Ringler.

Mary was a graduate of Proctor Hospital School of Nursing and worked many years in the Peoria area.

She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Peoria and Proctor Hospital Alumni.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Peoria. Pastor Barry Long officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Wright and Salmon Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.
