WILLOWBROOK, IL - Mary "Connie" Vogel, formerly of Peoria, IL, Scottsdale, AZ, and Mesa, AZ, was born to Michael and Mary (Smith) Conlin on June 24, 1922, and died at the age of 90 on October 6, 2012, at Chateau Center Nursing Home in Willowbrook, IL.

She was married for 60 years to John Vogel beginning on August 30, 1941 until John passed away May 11, 2002. She had a second marriage with Joseph Gorski on February 12, 2005. He survives.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is also survived by her three children, Jacqueline, David, and Phillip. She has thirteen grandchildren, William, John, Michael, Michelle, Melissa, Timothy, Joseph, Mary, Amy, Becky, John, Alicia, and Sarah. There are 24 great-grandchildren.

During her life in addition to raising her children, she worked as a secretary and as a paralegal. She earned a pilot's license and flew small planes. She spent time at Bradley University enrolling in numerous courses to expand her education.

Visitation will occur starting at 9:30AM on Saturday October 27, 2012 at St. Philomena’s Church in Peoria, IL with funeral Mass to follow at 10:00AM. Father David Richardson will officiate. Wright & Salmon is in charge of arrangements.
