Clara Tresea Carey, 63, of Bruceton, TN, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 at Jackson Memorial in Jackson, TN.
She was born to the late James Cary and the late Garnetta Stagner, February 22, 1949 in Madison, TN.
Tresea was also preceded in death by one sister, Barb Heinz, and her beloved step father, Ralph Stagner, who helped raise her.
Tresea graduated from East Peoria High School in 1967.
Tresea married the late Ronald Gilles in 1969 and resided in Princeville for many years. She then married the late Ed Carey and resided in Tennessee until her passing.
She is survived by three sons, Kevin Gilles of Peoria, Ralph (Tammy) Gilles of Washburn, and Shane (Linda) Gilles of East Peoria. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, Hailey, Caitlin, Michael, Leah, Caden, Jordan, Lacy, Jesse, Zach, Alyssa, Lindsey, and Andrew. She adored Olivia, Zachary, Kailey, Arron, Andrew, Denise, Jamie, TJ, and many others. She also leaves behind her beautiful, loving friend Virgie Thomas.
Tresea was a long time member of the Slow Pokes Car Club, owned and operated a novelty shop where she hand crafted collectables and gifts, loved woodworking and painting, and enjoyed selling Mary Kay Cosmetics.
She was a deeply caring mother and grandmother, who was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. She will be remembered fondly by her friends and family.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012, at noon at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with Pastor Stephen Barch officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Kickapoo.
