Myrtle Miller Meizelis

EAST PEORIA – Myrtle A. Miller-Meizelis, 101, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Riverview at Manor Care in East Peoria.

She was born November 2, 1910 in Coles County to Jonathan and Ida Stull Graham. She married Harold Hall in Clinton, Illinois. She later married Eli Miller on September 17, 1935. He died on July 26, 1983. She married Stanley Meizelis on October 12, 1990. He died on July 14, 2003. She is survived by one grandson, Michael (Linda) Hall of Mahomet; one great-grandson, Steven (Erinn) Hall of Savoy; two great-great-grandsons, Dalton and Carter; two great-great-granddaughters, Avery and Nora; two step-sons, Stanley Frank (Merry) Meizelis of Peoria and Joseph (Wanda) Meizelis of Indianapolis; and three step-granddaughters. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Thelma Antonacci of Peoria Heights. Four brothers; four sisters; one son, William Hall; and one granddaughter preceded her in death.

She retired from Caterpillar in 1973 after 25 years as a supervisor in Food Services.

She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights, Senior Citizens Club, and Women’s Guild.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Rev. Thomas Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Recitation of the Rosary at 9:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Building Fund.
