PEORIA - Margaret “Terrie” Gorman, 58, of Peoria passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012. She was born April 25, 1953 to Pete and Verlinda Gorman in Peoria, Illinois. They both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one brother.

She is survived by three sisters, Camille (Charlie) of Wyoming, Susan and Joanne of Peoria; two brothers, Stephen (Debra) of Texas and John (Ellen) of Peoria; four nieces, Samantha Waldinger (Charlie) of Peoria, Katie (Adam) Stenavich of Michigan, Lindy (Josh) Wilcox of Texas, and Briana Gorman of Peoria; two nephews, Mark Gorman of Texas and Jacob Retz of Peoria; and two great-nieces, Lily Wilcox of Texas and Hadley Stenavich of Michigan.

Terrie taught Spanish, speech, and math at Bradford High School for 14 years. She then worked at an education publishing company for 17 years. She was an active member of Holy Family Church as a cantor and choir member. She loved to sing and spend time with her family.

Terrie’s family would like to thank everyone at OSF St. Clare Home who loved and cared for her. They would also like to thank the doctors and nurses in the neuro-ICU at OSF Medical Center for their care and support.

Services will be held at Holy Family Church in Peoria, at 12 pm, Friday, April 20, 2012. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm, Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Wright and Salmon Mortuary with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:45 pm. Further visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the services on Friday. Burial will be at 2:30 pm, Friday, April 20, 2012 in the St. John’s Cemetery in Bradford. Arrangements are being handled by Wright & Salmon Funeral Home in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to OSF St. Clare Home or Holy Family Church.
