Peoria-Penelope J. Oliver, 58, of Peoria, died on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 10:47 a.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
Born May 29, 1953 in St. Louis, MO. to Jack and Evelyn Whiltshire Quinn, she married Lloyd Oliver, September 4, 1997 in Peoria. He survives, along with her father, Jack of Margat, Fla., one son, Sean Poirrier of Kewanee, one grandchild, Victoria of Spanaway, WA, two brothers, Joseph Quinn of Peoria, and John Quinn of Peoria Heights, two sisters, Laura Taylor of Peoria, and Elizabeth (Kenneth) Poston of Bartonville, three nieces, Jennifer Quinn of Peoria, Jessica Quinn of Peoria Heights, and Yvonne Quinn of Arnold, MO, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Penelope was preceded in death by her mother Evelyn.
Penelope was the Housemother for Signa Nu Fraternity at Bradley University for many years, and considered them her second family.
A Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with Pastor Ronald Mables Sr. officiating.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary, and half hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
